Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 July 2026

This privacy policy explains how TOP APP Sp. z o.o., Rynek Główny 28, 30-010 Kraków (Cracow), Poland ("we", "us") processes personal data when you use the Wevowly mobile application, the wevowly.com website (including couples' public wedding pages) and related services (together, the "Services").

If you have any questions, contact us at hello@topapp.pl.

1. Who is the data controller?

The controller of your personal data is TOP APP Sp. z o.o., Rynek Główny 28, 30-010 Kraków (Cracow), Poland. You can reach us at hello@topapp.pl.

2. What data do we process?

Depending on how you use the Services, we process:

  • Account data — first and last name, e-mail address and profile photo received from Google or Apple when you sign in, and your account settings.
  • Wedding planning data — everything you add while planning: wedding date and venues, checklist and tasks, budget entries, wishlist items, table plans, day schedule, party menu and the appearance settings of your wedding website.
  • Guest data — names, RSVP status, dietary notes and similar details of the guests you add. This is personal data of third parties that you provide (see section 4).
  • Photos and wishes — pictures uploaded to the photobook and guestbook (by you or your guests) and guestbook wishes.
  • Messages — wedding chat messages between you and the people you plan with, and your text and voice conversations with Wela, our AI planning assistant. Voice conversations use the microphone only after you grant permission.
  • Purchase data — if you make an in-app purchase or buy a subscription (e.g. premium photobook access), we receive confirmation of the purchase and its status from Apple/Google via our billing provider. We never see your card or bank details.
  • Technical data — device model, operating system, app version, language, crash reports, application and device identifiers used to operate the Services (e.g. the push notification token) and anonymised or aggregated usage statistics.

3. Why and on what legal basis?

  • To provide the Services (create your account, store your planning data, show the wedding website to your guests, deliver chat and notifications) — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • To answer your questions in the Wela assistant — performance of a contract.
  • To keep the Services secure, fix crashes and understand aggregate usage — our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • To send push notifications — your consent, which you can withdraw in system settings at any time.
  • To comply with accounting, tax and other legal obligations — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

4. Guest data and your public wedding page

When you add guests or invite co-planners, you provide personal data of other people. Please make sure you are allowed to share it and inform them about this policy — we process this data solely to provide the Services to you.

Your wedding page (the link you share with guests) publicly shows the first names of the couple, the wedding date, venues and, if you enable them, the day plan, menu, guestbook and photobook. Anyone who has the link can view this page. Share the link only with people you want to see it.

5. Who do we share data with?

We do not sell personal data and we do not show third-party advertising. We share data only with service providers that help us run Wevowly:

  • Amazon Web Services — hosting and file storage (photos).
  • Google Firebase — sign-in support, crash reporting, anonymised analytics and push notification delivery.
  • OpenAI — powers the Wela assistant. The content of your Wela conversations — text, and audio during voice chats — together with the necessary context of the event you are planning is sent to OpenAI solely to generate answers. We do not share account data such as the e-mail address used to sign in.
  • RevenueCat — processes subscription status; payments themselves are handled by Apple App Store / Google Play.
  • Apple / Google — when you sign in with those accounts or purchase through their stores.

We may also disclose data when required by law, or in connection with a merger or sale of our business (we would inform you in that case).

6. Transfers outside the EEA

Some of the providers above process data in the United States. Where that happens, data is transferred with appropriate safeguards provided for by applicable law, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, depending on the provider and the type of service.

7. How long do we keep data?

  • Account and planning data — for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise it.
  • Photos in the photobook and guestbook — automatically deleted 90 days after upload. Download the pictures you want to keep before then; the app shows the availability date on each photo.
  • Chat and Wela conversations — for as long as your account exists.
  • Purchase records — as long as required by tax and accounting law.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw any consent at any time.

You can delete your account (together with your data) directly in the app: Account → Delete account. If you are the owner of a wedding, deleting your account may require deleting the wedding you created first. For anything else, write to us at hello@topapp.pl.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Poland the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO, uodo.gov.pl), or the authority in your country of residence.

Wevowly is available worldwide. If you live outside the EEA or UK — for example in the United States (including California), Canada, Australia or elsewhere — your local law may give you similar rights, such as the right to know what data we hold, to delete or correct it, or to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising purposes. You can exercise any of these rights by writing to hello@topapp.pl.

9. Security

We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (TLS), access controls and other safeguards designed to protect personal data. No system is 100% secure, but we work to keep the risk as low as possible.

10. Children

The Services are not directed at persons who, under applicable law, may not use them independently without the consent of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal data in violation of applicable law. If we learn that data has been provided in violation of the law, we will take appropriate action, including deleting it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Services evolve. We will publish the new version on this page and, for significant changes, inform you in the app. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
